Saturday and we are off on another holiday trip. Did you enjoy The Grand Canyon, Petra or Rome as no-one has commented, unusually?! I wanted to offer the holiday trips in lieu of your holidays and as a number of folk had asked for it. Are you enjoying or would you prefer something different? Do let me know.
Now to Athans, a city so rich in history and so dominated by its ruins. There is much to see here and you do can as little or as much as you wish, but today we are starting with a walking tour of the Acropolis.
After your rapid walking tour, and before the dancing, you will need an ouzo and lemonade! Maybe it is a bit early in the day so perhaps instead you'll fancy a coffee and a pastry.
Now time for a cookery class for some yummy Baklava!
Greece is certainly full of delights! How many of you have been there before? What were your favourite things you saw, did, or ate? I was last in Greece for any length of time, in my 20's so things will no doubt changed.
Thanks again are due to Di and Judy for sending in some more photos for us all to enjoy today. Here are the latest updates from Di who says,
"The corn is as high as an elephants eye! The hips and haws are ripening and it all looks like an early Autumn!"
Beautiful Di! We so enjoy joining you on your walks in this way! And yes, Autumn is on its way!
Judy has spent hours creating this masterpiece! Each tiny dot is a diamond-effect gem. It must have taken huge patience and an eye for detail!
What skill Judy!
Becky is still dabbling in her painting too. Here is her latest - a work in progress.
She does find painting very relaxing and I'm sure she'll be packing her watercolours when it comes to holiday time!
Photos from Jan. These are are Mary and Kate and their parents enjoying time on the Ridgeway. Thanks Jan and we have a few more for next week.
Beautiful countryside.
I think the girls are enjoying those ice creams.
Have a lovely Saturday!
Hi Rhian. I went to Rome for my 60th Birthday. It was awesome. My family still laugh when I say I could hear lions roar in the Colosseum. It was a trip I often think about because it was so beautiful. Mary
