I have some good news! Yes we are all going on holiday for the Bank Holiday weekend. Now I realise we can only go virtually, but it opens a door for us and how else could we all go together! So on Friday 1st May we are off and return on Monday (Bank Holiday) 4th May 2020 and we are visiting England, Scotland, Ireland and then finish off back in Wales. Hopefully it will be enjoyable and something to look forward too! We will still have the usual things e.g. worship and quiz night.
Last week Di sent me this lovely piece, "What a wonderful world" and yesterday I saw Lynn and Keith had also used it, so today I thought we could enjoy it, as we look forward not only to this day but also our days "away." This is an international group of mainly youngsters who have all the charm of any African childrens' choir. Thank you!
This lively piece so nicely formed helps to put us a feel good sense of being, if only for a few short minutes. We do though live in a wonderful world, even though at times it can be a challenge to us, as we have abused and misused it.
I thought today we would enjoy some of the animal photos shared by the ministry Team.
Here, as we look at the photos, is Camille Saint-Saens Carnival of the Animals, well a bit of it!
I had thought now we could enjoy some other photos of the countryside and gardens as we listen to this restful Spanish Romance classical guitar (Romanza) performed by Marija Agic, but will saved them for another day.
This is Leo, Matthew and Jeanne's dog. Hello Leo!
This is Spock, he loves chasing lawnmowers. Marc says:
"I love him but I wouldn’t choose to live with him if I had the choice! He is soooooo annoying but also he is also really nice to have around and as far as dogs go, he is very well behaved….most of the time. (this sentiment is probably how my wife feels about me)."
Love your green feet Spock!
This is Neville, ready for whatever the day may throw his way:
Bill says: "He was a four year old rescue dog that has added so much love and fun to our family. He came as in the [first] photo an unkept disheveled homeless package looking for a family he could love and who would look after him so he could in turn look after us.
What a joy he has turned out to be. He is now much tidier having had a hair cut and spends much of his time trying to decide his time with who ever is sitting down so he can lay next to them on his back, legs in the air so he can have his tummy rubbed all day if possible!! What a tonic in these dark and worrying days!!"
Here we have 'Rowan the Wonder Dog':
Lynn & Keith say: "We are well known for having long-lived animals (Mackie & Dougal the two cats 17 years; Bonnie the golden retriever 14 and a half; Mac the westie 15 and a half.)
Mac & Rowan came to us as orphans. Rowan's vets' records show annual injections going back for 18 years but recently our daughter-in-law said that her Mum had Rowan as a rescue dog and she wasn't a young pup. So, we reckon she must be nearer to 19. She is a Welsh collie-cross - they breed them tough in these parts! She is getting bossy in her old age and has a daily routine that we have to fit into!"
From The Rectory, here are Bentley the Beagle, aka Bentley-No! And Mocha, the handsome labradoodle:
Both are rescues and are the best chums - almost inseperable!
Bill has shared with us these adorable video of animals and their relationships with us:
These ponies were spotted by Di on a walk one day. Thanks for the photo Di!
Aww they sure are good friends to us our pets and they are a blessing in these times as always
