Aldeburgh adventures with Philip and Sheila

Well, you all know the Friday routine now and as always I am delighted that Philip and Sheila have sent me some new videos. We are travelling across the country today to Aldeburgh. Many years ago David and I were "invited" to go to Aldeburgh, as Methodist ministers along with several other appointments to consider. We declined that particular invitation for various reasons including it was too far away from our parents who were starting to fail a little.

I haven't explored that part of the UK but would very much like to, so I am looking forward to today's trip. It is primarily a seaside town with an iconic beach and pretty colour washed houses. It is of course home to English composer, conductor, and pianist. Benjamin Britten - where he both lived and worked.

Lord, of sea and sky,

of wild and calm

of boat and car

be with us in all circumstances of life

be with us in death

and may we glorify you all in all. Amen
