Well, I hope you all have had a suitably relaxing and indulgent Christmas and Boxing Day - in whatever format they took this year! It was certainly a very different Christmas Day for us here at The Rectory, but amongst all the strangeness, we found time and a way to enjoy it too.
This festive season is often a time when as families, or perhaps with neighbours or friends, we put on our glad rags or festive knitwear and head to the theatre. This year, sadly the entertainment industry is another that has suffered due to the pandemic and many of us haven't been able to book our trips to the ballet, school children have not been able to go to the pantomime, and people all across the country have had their tickets for shows, concerts and so much more all refunded as performances have been cancelled and theatres closed.
But fear not! If you cannot go to the theatre, then the theatre shall come to you! This week we will all be able to enjoy our trips with a spot of culture! For those spending Christmas alone this year, share these videos with friends and family, arrange to watch them and have a chat in the "interval" or at the end to compare notes!
Sit back, relax and enjoy!
Also today there is no blog worship as we as a parish/ministry area are joining together for a recorded act of worship which can be found on ghcp.church
